Silver ions dressing is a kind of antimicrobial dressing made of synthetic polymer absorbent fibers by adding silver compound through special process.
- Silver ions dressing releases silver ion after contact with wound exudate.
- Silver ions bind to zymoprotein in bacterial cells to inactivate it and kill the bacteria.
- Silver os bind to the DNA and RNA of bacterial cells, viruses, etc., preventing their replication.
- The combination of silver ions in the dressing and metalloprotein in the wound increases the ions concentration of zinc, calcium and copper in the wound and promotes the wound healing.

CAUTIONS:
- Wash the wound with normal saline before use and dry the surrounding skin.
- When using silver ions dressing should not be immersed in normal saline before hand.
- Secondary dressings, such as foam dressings and calcium alginate dressings, should be used in combination.
- According to the clinical use, it is recommended to change the dressing in 2-4 days.
